FAQs

How much will I save with reglazing vs. replacement?
Reglazing is the way to go if you DO NOT want to remodel your entire bathroom. It can save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars over replacement. A brand new bathtub may only cost as little as $200, $300 or $400, but there are hidden costs such as removal and disposal, plumbing alterations, and tile work. These costs add up and you can easily end up spending nearly $3,500 or more to replace your bathtub.

How long does the bathtub refinishing process take?
Our reglazing process typically only takes 4 to 6 hours to complete. Under normal circumstances, you can use the bathtub 24 hours later.

How do I care for my new reglazed fixture?
The surface will only require light cleanings with a mild soft soap such as Dow Scrubbing Bubbles, Lysol Basin Tub & Tile Cleaner, Mr Clean, Fantastic or 409. No scrubbing or scouring will be needed and Do Not use bleach.

Is there an odor while the work is being done?
We come equipped with a full ventilation system to extract odors that occur with our process. You may notice a slight odor after we are finished and this typically is gone within a few hours.

Do you repair cracks, chips, and scratches in my bathtub?
We will fill in any chips or other imperfections in your bathtub or other surface prior to the refinishing process.

Is the new finish the same as the original finish?
No it’s not. Anyone that even hints that it is porcelain is deceiving you. To duplicate a porcelain finish the fixture needs to be heated at 2500 degrees not practical in a home! It’s a synthetic which when applied hardens to a beautiful high gloss porcelain-like luster. Our formula is a unique process developed specifically for bathtubs. It is laboratory tested to meet the highest standards of product performance and quality.

Do you change any of the plumbing fixtures?
Plumbing problems (leaks, broken fixtures, etc.) must be resolved before the tub is reglazed/ the material needs to stay dry for at least 24 hours to cure properly.

Can I use the bathtub before you arrive?
Yes. The tub does not need to be dry when we arrive. You can use it right up to the minute before we get there.

Can I change the color?
Yes. We can also change the color of your bathtub, if your bathtub is pink, brown, green, blue or another color, we can change the color to pure white, off white, almond or bone and leave it like new.

I’m remodeling right now, should I reglaze before or after?
